Here at Love Pastry, we love diversity. When we saw this video on a new set of Barbie’s, we wanted all of our Pastry Fans to be in the know. It is nice to see a new phase of the dolls that diverse groups can relate to. Stacey McBride, the inspiration and creator of these dolls, explains in this clip what she had in mind when making them. It is a must see.

I love this! Dolls that little girls of color can look at and be happy because they look like them! Dolls of our own. They’re beautiful and I love the vision as well. Positivity in our community shown in a way that our children can relate and be proud of the skin they’re in.
